Micro Business (2-5 Staff)
From Solo To Global
Moving you from a small local team to a thriving global enterprise – That’s what we want for you and we understand what it takes. We know the challenges you face when it’s just you and your small team. How do we know? Because we’ve been there ourselves and we also work with hundreds of other clients helping them navigate this growth period as well.
When it’s just you or maybe a few other contractors, freelancers or staff, you are caught up with doing everything. Caught up in a vicious cycle of not having the time or resources (or both) to put in and train new staff, and also not being able to achieve everything you need to do to keep up in business these days. Have you noticed, business just seems to get more and more complicated as time goes on? So many systems and things you need to think about.
So what’s the answer? Read on…
Freelancers vs Permanent Staff
There’s no two ways about it. If you want to grow your business, you need help! You need resources and you need staff. So what do you do? Generally, you have two choices:
1. You can use Freelancers or Contractors to get some things done for you, or
2. You can hire staff to work with you permanently.
Freelancers are good for project-based work, but not good for scaling and getting your time back. Think about it, name one large global company that runs off Freelancers. It doesn’t work, because to get past the Micro-Business phase into small business and beyond, you need long-term permanent staff that can be a real talent asset to your business.
So Why Build A Permanent Offshore Team?
The answer to scaling is to build your permanent team. We are of the belief that you should have a combination of offshore and local team members. Offshore are good for very specific task driven roles, but high level positions that require critical thinking, we believe you should keep onshore.
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you already have a lot on your plate that you could outsource right now. The best thing you could do is clear your plate of the low value activities, which then frees up your time to focus on the high value activities, working on the business as opposed to in it and generating more revenue. This is how you scale. It starts with you and your current team getting your time back to work on the high value activities.
Whilst you probably already have a pretty good idea about what to get a new virtual assistant or remote staff to do, we want to make sure we get this right. Making sure we all have clarity on EXACTLY what your new staff will be doing, could be the difference between success and failure. So, here’s what we recommend as a next step:
Step 1 – Download this template to note down all the tasks you’d like your staff to handle. This document becomes the job brief that we work off to source your ideal staff.
